Make Your Own Pendant and Studs

Held by jeweller, Anna Wales, on Dharawal land (Illawarra/Wollongong). This class is the perfect introduction to learning the foundations of silversmithing and taking home your very own creations on the same day! 

Lesson length

This is a 3-hour class where you will learn the basics of silversmithing and create your own custom designed pendant and set of recycled granule studs to take home on the day.

What you will make

In this class you will learn the fundamentals of silversmithing through a relaxed and fun class that will get your creative juices flowing for future projects. 
Your teacher, Anna, will guide you through the basics of jewellery fabrication which includes things such as: Measuring, sawing, annealing, forming metal, soldering, filing, sanding and finishing. 

By the end of this class, you will have created 2 beautiful pieces with your own unique touch that you can show off to your family and friends (or the first person you pass on the street)! 

Experience needed

This is a beginner class, so no prior experience or knowledge is necessary.

Ages 16+ only

Additional information

Due to the use of a naked flame in this class, it is important that all students avoid wearing synthetic or loose-fitting fabrics, along with having their hair tied back and enclosed shoes on. 

Tea, coffee and snacks provided.
